Around 12 months ago, the Stemcor Main Board recognised that Stemcor Special Steels had not penetrated its target markets as well as had been hoped. Thereafter, Management Leaders were identified and recruited. In Tom Ferguson – President, Stemcor Special Steels, based in Houston and Steve McHugh – Managing Director, based in the UK, we clearly have Directors who are leading the businesses with a defined Strategy, an established Growth Plan and an aim to be the supplier of choice for Oil and Gas Steel Products globally. In order to execute the strategy, Stemcor have sought to recruit World Class staff in each of the major sectors of Oil and Gas Metal supply. This has seen over 10 employees across the range of Commercial, Technical, Production and Metallurgy hired on a strictly handpicked basis with the expertise, experience, knowledge, tenacity, customer orientated skills and ambition to achieve the Goals set by the Stemcor Main Board and entrusted to Tom and Steve. We can confidently claim that the team at Stemcor Special Steels is the envy of our Industry and that our policy will be to continue to add to the team to ensure we continue to meet our Growth aspirations.
